Gone Away Suppression
It is expensive and not environmentally friendly to mail individuals or businesses that have moved. With 11% of individuals moving house and over 30% of businesses moving every year, not suppressing goneaways is hugely costly, damages your brand and will not result in a positive response to your campaign.
We are able to remove or suppress people and businesses known to have "Goneaway" by comparing your database with a number of national databases, this service is known as Goneaway Suppression.
We compare your data against many national goneaway and re-direction databases including:
GAS
The GAS file (or Goneaway Suppression File) contains data from the electoral roll and negative or change of address information from a number of active major syndicated customer databases. There are 38 million addresses on this file and it is updated monthly.
NCOA Suppress

The NCOA File (National Change Of Address File) is taken from the redirection database containing the names and both the new and old addresses of residential customers who have taken out a redirection. NCOA data is made up from only those customers who have not ticked the opt-out boxes and thus given the Royal Mail permission to pass on their information to selected companies and other organisations. NCOA is not available to buy direct. Due to the sensitive nature of redirection data and to comply with the Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998 the NCOA file is held only by specially recruited data management bureaux such as W8Data. The NCOA file is updated monthly contains over 19 million records.

A large proportion of the data contains a forwarding address and as a unique service also provides the new occupants name. The file is updated monthly and comprises of approximately 40 million names.
